ABOUT ABBY
FAMILY LITIGATION ATTORNEY
Coming from a family of teachers, software engineers, and musicians, Abby never considered a career in law. She majored in theatre at Indiana University Southeast and quickly learned a theatre degree does not offer many opportunities in the workforce (surprise, surprise). Still unsure of her future, Abby then decided to follow in her mother’s footsteps and earned a Master’s degree in elementary education. She taught third and fourth grade for several years before realizing it was not the right path. Contemplating her passion for helping those in need, problem-solving, and writing, it became clear that law school was the next step.
Upon graduation from University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, Abby worked for the Louisville Metro Public Defender’s Office where she learned how to navigate the court system, balance hundreds (literally hundreds) of cases simultaneously, and advocate for clients through oral argument and written motions.
Abby is committed to providing effective advocacy. Since joining the team at Barrow Brown Carrington, PLLC, Abby’s goals include making her clients feel heard and understood. She recognizes the importance of communication, and her representation reflects that.
In her spare time, Abby can be found jogging around Germantown or playing with her two dogs, Fry and Murphy.
